The three silk panels
shown above
were framed between
sheets of perspex
and assembled into
a triangular-shaped
illuminated installation.
The design
represents the three
elements of
"the vanua"
the identity of
a Fijian community:
the land,
the sea,
and the people,
bound by a culture
rich with living traditions.

To our delight,
"Vanua Ko Viti" won first prize
in the Senior Artwork Category
of the A.N.Z. Bank Annual Art Exhibition
hosted by the Fiji Arts Club in Suva
during June!
