This painting features a 'wasekaseka'
or traditional necklace made from
wild boar's teeth, with drums,
canoes, and woven mats
in the background.

Ripening bananas and
freshly fired clay pots
partly hidden by arching
mangrove roots
were the inspirations
for this piece of silk art.

for meetings and celebrations.

a 'tabua' - a prized whales tooth
suspended on a cord of woven
sinnet - a ceremonial gift symbolising
respect and goodwill.
